Psychotherapy can be extremely effective in transforming a wide range of challenges and concerns.
Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy can be very effective in treating long standing issues and patterns that produce difficulties. These issues often impact relationships, one’s sense of self, and fuel difficulties in determining desires and/or attaining them.
I offer both weekly individual psychotherapy and psychodynamically-oriented depth psychotherapy, which may include meeting more than one time per week.
Reasons people seek psychotherapy with me include:
Anxiety and Avoidance
Depression
Relationship Difficulties
Existential Concerns
Career Issues
Procrastination and Motivation Concerns
Problematic Behaviors
Family of Origin Concerns
Trauma
Personality Disorders
Sexuality and Intimacy Concerns
Anger and Rage
Grief and Loss
Betrayal and Infidelities

The answer is we don't know. There are treatments that last a very long time and others that last only one session. Each person is unique and often it is important to understand more about what you are anticipating, fearing and thinking as we begin.

I can provide either but depending on the situation it may be beneficial to meet in person. You are welcome to reach out to see if I can be of help and I am happy to reflect with you on the potential role of the medium on our work.

At this time I have a small portion of my practice dedicated to couples. I do not work with families or children or adolescents. I would be happy to refer you to some of my colleagues who do if we think that you would benefit from family therapy and/or if you are seeking treatment for your children.

Yes. Consultations can be one time one-off meetings or can be arranged to be an ongoing relationship or something in between. Many clinicians use consultation to develop or to address particular issues that arise in clinical work. I am particularly helpful with business development concerns, ethical questions, and sexuality. I invite you to reach out if you would like to consult with me.
